In celebration of International Women’s Day we wanted to highlight one of the rockstar women that work at Domuso.
On this special edition of Meet Domuso, meet a member of our Sales and Account Management Team – Terri Nicholson – SVP, Strategic Accounts & Partnerships.
Q: How long have you been with Domuso and what do you do here?
I’ve been with Domuso for a little over 3 years. I started in November of 2019 right before the pandemic. What I do at Domuso? I do a little bit of everything. Initially, I was the only account manager so I worked with our support team to make sure all of our clients were successful in their effort to eliminate paper payments from their rental offices. As our company grew so did the account management team and up until recently, I was leading our team of account managers. In January my role changed once more, in addition to helping with our strategic accounts, I am also focusing efforts on introducing Domuso to more of NMHC’s top 10 management companies.
Q: Describe yourself in a few words.
Tenacious, Bold and Fabulous.
Q: What did you dream of doing when you were young?
Funny enough, I wanted to be a flight attendant. I wanted to travel – which ironically I do a ton of in my career.
Q: Have you faced any barriers in your career? If so, how did you overcome them?
My challenge was climbing the ladder without a 4 year degree. I had to earn my stripes and work my way up the ranks. It’s one of the things I love about this industry, it enables a person to succeed and pursue leadership roles through diligence, hard work and tenacity.
Q: What are you most proud of?
My two daughters. They are both wonderful, accomplished women – they’re great humans!
Q: What is your best career advice?
If you want something, you need to go for it – make it happen! You can’t sit back and let someone else make it happen for you. The stars won’t ever align enough for it to be the perfect time. You just have to do it!
